Picnic at the Mill 

A great family day out!

Saturday 9th May 2026 - 11AM-3PM

Join us for a family-themed day at Waltham WIndmill.  

The windmill will be open.

Step back in time by visiting the museum (free entry).

Retail food outlets will be open. 

Train rides.

Children's disco entertainer, face-painting, games and balloon-modelling.

Competitions!

Tug of War Competition at approx 2PM - SIGN UP here to enter your team of 8. 

Waltham's Got Talent!  12.00-1.00pm. It is open to all ages and we invite musicians, comedians, singers or any other talent to take part.

SIGN UP by 1st May  SIGN UP here to enter- there will be a small stage and a grass area for performers.

Fancy Dress Competition.  Judged  throughout the day with prizes for adults and children.  No prior entry booking  needed for the fancy dress competition.

WALTHAM PICNIC

11.00-1.00pm Throwing the welly competition.

12.00-1.00pm Waltham’s Got Talent and performance by the Parish Notes.

1.00pm-1.15pm Judging of the Fancy Dress competition at the Parish Gazebo

1.00-2.00pm Tug of War competition

2.00pm-2.40pm Back to Brass at the entertainment gazebo

2.40pm—3.00pm Community Sing Song with Back to Brass

Flower arranging demonstration at Crosskills (time to be confirmed)

Bring a picnic blankets/deckchairs and spend a lovely few hours with family and friends.

No cars will be allowed on site so there is plenty of space on the lawned areas for picnics.
