Grove Path – Pathway Improvement Works

Waltham Parish Council invites quotations from suitably experienced contractors for improvement works to Grove Path, a pedestrian pathway approximately 300 metres in length. Contractors are requested to provide separate quotations for two alternative options.

The works comprise:

Option 1: Repair and realignment of the existing slabbed pathway, including replacement of damaged paving slabs and local diversion of the path around tree roots where necessary.

Option 2: Removal of the existing slabbed pathway and construction of a new self-binding gravel path with timber edging and passing places for mobility scooters.

Contractors should include all labour, materials, plant, equipment, waste disposal and associated costs necessary to complete the works. Particular care will be required to protect existing trees and root systems during construction.

A full specification of works is available below. Contractors are encouraged to inspect the site prior to submitting a quotation.

Evidence of appropriate Public Liability Insurance shall be provided with the quotation.
